Missions <

Helps Ministry is an act of Christian service. Any act of Christian service, which helps direct men and women into fellowship with Jesus Christ, is a ministry. The Helps Ministry's contribution to the service, directly and indirectly, is vital. It is a coordinated effort to help usher people into God's presence while maintaining order in His House. Being a part of a Helps Ministry is service to God, service to the Pastor, and service to God's people.

I Corinthians 12: 28 states "And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues." Helps, in this context, refers to one who gives relief and help; one who lightens the load of leaders by doing certain practical things for them.

The early church had a Ministry of Helps, Acts 6: 1-7. Two things should be pointed out in these scriptures: the Word of God increased or spread after the Ministry of Helps was added to the church, and the purpose of the ministry of Helps was to give the men with the vision time for Bible study and prayer.

The function of the Ministry of Helps is to help the local church in practical ways, and to relieve those who lead of some of their routine responsibility.

The purpose of the Ministry of Helps is to bring order to the House of God in order to lighten the load of the leadership.

The Ministry of Helps consists of many areas, but generally falls into the following categories:

1. Parking

The Parking Ministry Team operates to ensure safety and maintain order in the parking areas, and assists with a variety of problems that can arise.

2. First Impressions

A First Impressions Ministry Team member's objective is to make everyone, members and visitors alike, feel welcome. The First Impressions Ministry Team member's verbal greeting and/or handshake should be considered an extension of Pastor Eric and Pastor Gena. It is the First Impressions Ministry Team member's goal to prepare the atmosphere in the foyer so that when worshipers enter the service they are able to receive God's Word and His supernatural signs, wonders, and miracles.

3. Welcome Center

The Welcome Center serves as a central location for ministry information, sign up sheets, registration for events, sales of products, and general information. Members of the First Impressions Team will staff the Welcome Center.

4. Hospitality

The Hospitality Ministry at BST covers a wide area from the Green Room to church receptions to serving meals for guests.

The Green Room is where Pastor Eric and Pastor Gena, or a visiting minister, may seek quite time with the Lord before the service and greet special guests after the service.

5. Ushers

An Usher Ministry Team member's objective is to make everyone, members and visitors alike, feel welcome. The Usher Ministry Team member's verbal greeting and/or handshake should be considered an extension of Pastor Eric and Pastor Gena. It is the Usher Ministry Team member's goal to prepare the atmosphere in the sanctuary so that when worshipers enter they are able to receive God's Word and His supernatural signs, wonders, and miracles.

6. Armorbearers

The Armorbearers objective is to assist and ensure the safety of the Senior Pastors and their family.
